We are committed to ensuring that NO aussie produced by Van Huitt Australian Shepherds EVER ends up in a shelter or rescue. Our first measure of precaution starts with our contract every dog is sold under. Stated in these terms is an agreement to return said dog to Van Huitt Australian Shepherds should the buyer not be able to or not want to keep the dog for any reason. This has been part of our contract from the very beginning. This alone, should be enough to keep our aussies out of any situation where they dont have a home. Alas, most of this obligation does not lie on our shoulders, but rather becomes the responsibility of the purchasing party. Breeders are crucified in today's day and age for the volume of dogs they produce depending the crucifixor's beliefs. Not only is this wrong, its ABSURD!!! We are not putting these dogs in shelters. The responsiblity to keep dogs out of shelters or rescue situations falls on the shoulders of the buyers. If you purcahsed from us, you signed a contract agreeing to return said dog should you not be able to keep them, whether you read and understood the contract or not. There is NO reason any of our dogs should ever end of in an unwanted situation. We have dedicated ourselves to producing healthy stock to preseve a breed and we are doing just that in the most responsible way we know how. 
WE WILL TAKE BACK ANY DOG PRODUCED BY US! No questions asked. 
We microchip every puppy produced and sold by us. With this microchip, our name will ALWAYS be listed as a contact for that dog. There is no way to remove our information. Thus, if a dog is lost/found, surrendered, sold and then lost or given up, be it what may, we will always be able to be contacted to get our babies home. There is no cost to the buyer, and their information can be added to the chip as well. Microchip information is relinquished to buyer at time of pick up. This SHOULD be a full proof method to keep our dogs out of shelters. By implementing the requirement for buyers to agree to return our babies along with microchipping permanently in our name,
